BRISBANE, Calif. — November 5, 2025 — Leads & Copy — Tempest Therapeutics Inc. (Nasdaq: TPST) reported its financial results for the quarter ended September 30, 2025, and provided a corporate update, including the start of the TPST-1495 Phase 2 in collaboration with the NCI and the Cancer Prevention Clinical Trials Network.
The clinical-stage biotechnology company is advancing a pipeline of targeted and immune-mediated therapeutics to fight cancer.
Stephen Brady, president and CEO of Tempest, said the company is continuing its strategic alternatives process with the goal of maximizing value for stockholders and remains confident in the potential of amezalpat to transform the treatment of first-line HCC.
Tempest ended the quarter with $7.5 million in cash and cash equivalents, compared to $30.3 million on December 31, 2024. Net loss for the quarter was $3.5 million, or $0.79 per share, compared to $10.6 million, or $5.32 per share, for the same period in 2024.
Research and development expenses for the quarter were $0.6 million, compared to $7.6 million for the same period in 2024. General and administrative expenses for the quarter were $3.0 million, compared to $3.0 million for the same period in 2024.
For the nine months ended September 30, 2025, cash used in operating activities was $23.2 million. Net loss was $22.2 million, or $5.71 per share, compared to $28.0 million, or $15.48 per share, for the same period in 2024.
Research and development expenses for the nine months ended September 30, 2025, were $12.1 million, compared to $17.7 million for the same period in 2024. General and administrative expenses for the nine months ended September 30, 2025, were $10.4 million, compared to $10.4 million for the same period in 2024.
