Sunrise New Energy Subsidiary Secures Patent for Advanced Lithium-Ion Battery Anode Material

October 7, 2025 — Leads & Copy — Sunrise New Energy Co., Ltd. (NASDAQ: EPOW) announced that its subsidiary, Sunrise (Guizhou) New Energy Materials Co., Ltd., has been granted authorization registration for its invention patent titled “Preparation Method of Anode Material for Energy Storage Lithium-Ion Batteries.” The anode material demonstrates high-temperature storage performance, high first-cycle efficiency, and cycling stability.

The invention discloses a method for preparing anode materials used in energy storage lithium-ion batteries, including pulverizing isotropic petroleum coke, performing low-temperature graphitization, and adding metallic lithium and polymers to an organic solvent. The graphite precursor, lithium supplementing agent, and binder are uniformly mixed in a ball mill, pre-carbonized, and finally heated under an inert atmosphere with a carbon source gas for vapor deposition to obtain the finished product.

Haiping Hu, Founder and CEO of Sunrise New Energy, said that this patent reflects their R&D team’s strong innovation capacity and validates Sunrise’s position in advanced energy storage anode materials. The company will continue to enhance its R&D investment and accelerate the industrial application of high-efficiency anode materials for the expanding global energy storage market.

Headquartered in Zibo, Shandong Province, China, Sunrise New Energy Co., Ltd., through its joint venture, is engaged in the manufacturing and sale of graphite anode material for lithium-ion batteries.
