Quoin Pharmaceuticals (NASDAQ:QNRX) Achieves Target Rapamycin Loadings for Topical Delivery

ASHBURN, Va. — November 11, 2025 — Leads & Copy — Quoin Pharmaceuticals Ltd. (NASDAQ: QNRX) announced today that it has successfully achieved the target rapamycin loading concentrations for its two topical delivery technologies. The company’s topical formulation reached a rapamycin loading concentration of 4% w/w, while its dermal patch system achieved an even higher concentration of 5% w/w.

Quoin plans to begin manufacturing clinical trial and stability batches this quarter from at least one of the delivery technologies. Clinical testing is expected to begin in the first half of 2026, targeting initial indications that include Microcystic Lymphatic Malformations and Venous Malformations, conditions for which there are currently no FDA-approved treatments or cures.

Dr. Michael Myers, Chief Executive Officer of Quoin, expressed his pleasure with this milestone, stating that the 4% and 5% rapamycin loading concentrations in these delivery systems could provide competitive advantages over other topical rapamycin formulations in development. Dr. Myers noted that Quoin’s technologies are designed to optimize drug delivery at the target sites.

Quoin intends to move forward with formal clinical development across several identified indications, viewing these opportunities as complementary to its pipeline. The company’s pipeline includes an ongoing late-stage program in Netherton Syndrome and a program in Peeling Skin Syndrome.

Quoin is looking to conclude the year positively with the commencement of its Netherton Syndrome pivotal studies and the recent closing of a capital raise. According to Quoin, the funding will enable the company to complete its Netherton Syndrome studies and advance the clinical development of its Peeling Skin Syndrome and topical rapamycin programs.

Quoin Pharmaceuticals Ltd. is focused on developing and commercializing therapeutic products for rare and orphan diseases. The company’s pipeline includes four products in development targeting Netherton Syndrome, Peeling Skin Syndrome, Palmoplantar Keratoderma, Scleroderma, microcystic lymphatic malformations, venous malformations, angiofibromas and other indications.

Microcystic lymphatic malformation is a congenital malformation of lymphatic vessels in soft tissues, classified into macrocystic and microcystic types. Microcystic lesions are commonly found inside the mouth, throat, and tongue, and can cause deformity and problems with breathing and feeding. The exact cause is unknown, but is likely related to a malformation of the lymphatic system during gestation.

Venous malformation (VM) is the most common type of congenital vascular malformation, often found in the head, neck, limbs, and trunk. VMs can cause significant morbidity, pain, and discomfort and are typically diagnosed using Doppler ultrasound and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). Treatment options include surgery, sclerotherapy, and ablative therapies.
