REHOVOT, Israel — August 6, 2025 — Leads & Copy — Purple Biotech Ltd. (NASDAQ/TASE: PPBT) reported its financial results for the three months ended June 30, 2025, and provided updates on its clinical pipeline.
The company’s CAPTN-3 tri-specific antibody platform, featuring a masked CD3 arm for conditional T cell activation, an NKG2A arm for T cell and NK cell activation, and a third arm targeting tumor-associated antigens, was highlighted. CEO Gil Efron noted the company is advancing IM1240, its first CAPTN-3 antibody, through IND-enabling studies, aiming to initiate a Phase 1 study in 2026. A clear path forward has also been established for CM24’s Phase 2b study, utilizing predictive biomarkers from the Phase 2 trial, with the company seeking partners or investment to support the study.
Recent clinical and corporate highlights include comprehensive data showcased at EACR 2025, spotlighting the synergistic activity of the CAPTN-3 platform. Dr. Amir Horowitz highlighted the platform’s approach to targeting the HLA-E/NKG2A axis at ASGCT 2025. The first IND application from the CAPTN-3 platform, for IM1240, is expected in 2026. Final Phase 2 data for CM24 was presented at the AACR Annual Meeting 2025, showing statistically significant efficacy in biomarker subgroup analyses.
Purple Biotech initiated an NT219 Phase 2 study in recurrent and/or metastatic squamous cell carcinoma of the head and neck (R/M SCCHN) in June 2025, evaluating NT219 in combination with pembrolizumab or cetuximab. The study is led by Dr. Antonio Jimeno and Dr. Alice Weaver at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus.
Financial results for the three months ended June 30, 2025, include research and development expenses of $0.6 million, general and administrative expenses of $0.7 million, and an operating loss of $1.2 million. As of June 30, 2025, Purple Biotech had cash and cash equivalents and short-term deposits of $5.6 million, expected to last into the third quarter of 2026.
