Prof. Mike Chan Highlights Cellular Regeneration as Key to Extending Human Healthspan and Lifespan

BEIJING, Oct. 02, 2025 — Leads & Copy — European Wellness Biomedical Group (EWBG) announced the publication of the Human Cytology Atlas, mapping over 400 human cell types, and a peer-reviewed study in Advances in Clinical and Medical Research, outlining how organs age at varying rates.

These contributions reinforce the company’s position that extending lifespan and healthspan lies in targeted cellular regeneration, not organ transplantation, said Prof. Mike Chan, Chairman of the European Wellness Biomedical Group.

At Beijing’s Victory Day ceremony, President Xi Jinping and President Vladimir Putin discussed living to 150 years through organ transplants, sparking global debate.

Prof. Chan acknowledges transplantation as one of medicine’s achievements but redirects attention toward cellular regeneration. He emphasizes that longevity depends on healthspan, which relies on cellspan.

The Human Cytology Atlas, published by Prof. Chan’s team, maps over 400 distinct human cell types and confirms that every organ comprises specialized cells with unique molecular instructions.

A paper in Genesis, “Mapping Human Organ Aging: From Cellular Mechanism to Clinical Applications for Precision Medicine in Healthspan to Lifespan,” charts how different organs age at varying rates, emphasizing early detection of biological markers to guide targeted interventions.

The study reveals that the cardiovascular and immune systems decline early, the liver and kidneys show staggered vulnerability, and neural tissues age in unique patterns.

Protocols emerging from these studies include targeted stem cell therapies, biomarker monitoring, precision medicine, and prioritizing healthspan.

Prof. Chan’s collaborations extend to Baoding, China, for cell-based therapies for autistic children, and to Germany and Switzerland with Heidelberg University for neurodegenerative diseases.

His handwritten annotations emphasize cell transplantation over organ transplantation and highlight that healthspan relies on cellspan.

Prof. Chan reminds that true longevity is measured by sustaining the health of cells that give organs their vitality, not just keeping organs alive.
