Vancouver, British Columbia — August 19, 2025 — Leads & Copy — PreveCeutical Medical Inc.’s subsidiary, BioGene Therapeutics Inc., has appointed Dr. Kamal Albarazanji as Senior Director of Metabolic Research, effective August 18, 2025.
Dr. Albarazanji brings expertise in in vivo pharmacology, target validation, and translational research. He previously held roles at a leading pharmaceutical company and SmithKline Beecham (now GSK), contributing to work on metabolic diseases, hypertension, and obesity.
Dr. Albarazanji holds patents and has authored over 20 peer-reviewed manuscripts. He has presented at conferences, including the American Diabetes Association and Keystone Symposia.
Stephen Van Deventer, Chairman & CEO of BioGene Therapeutics Inc., said Dr. Albarazanji’s knowledge will accelerate the pipeline of innovative therapeutics. Dr. Albarazanji said he looks forward to collaborating with the team to advance programs and deliver outcomes for patients.
Dr. Albarazanji earned his Ph.D. in Physiology from the University of Manchester.
