HALIFAX, NS — October 16, 2025 — Leads & Copy — Precision BioLogic Inc. has acquired George King Bio-Medical, Inc., expanding its portfolio of hemostasis diagnostic products. The acquisition aims to strengthen services to the bleeding disorders community.
Paul Empey, President and CEO of Precision BioLogic, stated the two organizations share a similar purpose and can continue to work with existing customers and partners. Kathryn Blasco, CEO and President of George King Bio-Medical, and daughter of the founder George King, says that the company will continue its legacy of compassion and innovation.
Both companies will maintain focus on customers and operations while developing long-term strategic plans under Precision BioLogic.
George King Bio-Medical, founded in 1973, provides fresh frozen human plasmas for clinical laboratories. Precision BioLogic develops, manufactures, and markets the CRYOcheck™ line of frozen products for diagnosing coagulation disorders and acquired Affinity Biologicals in 2018.
