LOUISVILLE, Ky. — November 18, 2025 — Leads & Copy — Onco360®, a leading independent Specialty Pharmacy, has been selected by Kura Oncology as a pharmacy partner for Komzifti™ (ziftomenib). This medication is indicated for adult patients with relapsed or refractory acute myeloid leukemia (AML) who have a susceptible nucleophosmin 1 (NPM1) mutation and lack satisfactory alternative treatment options. The FDA approved this indication based on the phase II, KO-MEN-001 study.
Benito Fernandez, Chief Commercial Officer, stated that Komzifti offers a new treatment option for adults with relapsed or refractory AML with limited alternatives. He added that Onco360 is proud to partner with Kura Oncology to provide access to this therapy and support patients and caregivers throughout treatment.
Komzifti, a menin inhibitor, functions by blocking the interaction of menin and lysine [K]-specific methyltransferase 2A (KMT2A). This pharmacologic disruption inhibits the oncogenic activity of mutant NPM1, inducing differentiation of leukemic cells, evidenced by increased expression of differentiation markers. Approximately 30% of AML patients have the NPM1 mutation.
Komzifti’s efficacy was evaluated in an open-label, single-arm, multicenter clinical trial (Study KO-MEN-001, NCT04067336) involving 112 adult patients with relapsed or refractory AML with an NPM1 mutation. The study demonstrated a complete remission (CR) plus CR with partial hematological recovery (CRh) rate of 21.4% (95% CI 14.2, 30.2).
Common adverse reactions (≥ 20%), including laboratory abnormalities, included increased aspartate aminotransferase, infection without an identified pathogen, decreased potassium and albumin, increased alanine aminotransferase, decreased sodium and creatinine, increased alkaline phosphatase, hemorrhage, diarrhea, nausea, fatigue, edema, bacterial infection, musculoskeletal pain, increased bilirubin and potassium, differentiation syndrome, pruritus, and febrile neutropenia, and increased transaminases.
