Oxford, United Kingdom — August 6, 2025 — Leads & Copy — OMass Therapeutics, a biotechnology company focused on identifying medicines against validated target ecosystems, has appointed Carol A. Schafer as a non-executive Director and Chair of the Audit Committee.
Schafer brings over 25 years of experience in investment banking, equity capital markets, corporate finance, and business development within the healthcare sector. She currently serves on the Boards of Directors for Insmed Incorporated (Nasdaq: INSM), Immunome, Inc. (Nasdaq: IMNM), Kura Oncology, Inc (Nasdaq: KURA), and Repare Therapeutics Inc. (Nasdaq: RPTX). She previously served on the Board of Directors of Five Prime Therapeutics, Inc. and Idera Pharmaceuticals, Inc.
From 2007 to 2018, Schafer worked at Wells Fargo Securities and prior to that, she held positions at J.P. Morgan, including Managing Director, Equity Capital Markets. Schafer holds an MBA from New York University’s Stern School of Business and a BA from Boston College.
According to Carol Schafer, she is honored to join the Board and contribute to OMass’s mission of developing small molecules for endocrinology and immunology. Jim Geraghty, Chairman of OMass Therapeutics’ Board of Directors, added that Schafer’s healthcare investment banking and biotech board experience will be invaluable to OMass.
