August 26, 2025 — Leads & Copy — Olaplex Holdings, Inc. (NASDAQ: OLPX) has acquired Purvala Bioscience, a Boston-based biotech company, marking Olaplex’s first acquisition since its launch ten years ago.
Purvala, founded in 2020 by Drs. Bradley Olsen and Justin Paloni, develops bioinspired technologies for health and beauty. Dr. Olsen also serves as a Professor of Chemical Engineering at MIT.
Olaplex CEO Amanda Baldwin said the acquisition will help create the next generation of science-backed product innovation alongside the company’s bond-building technology.
OLAPLEX, founded in 2014, is known for its Complete Bond Technology™ and its products are sold globally.
