SANTA ANA, Calif. — January 22, 2026 — Leads & Copy — NKGen Biotech, Inc. (OTC: NKGN) has appointed Bruce L. Miller, M.D., to its Scientific Advisory Board. Dr. Miller, an expert in Alzheimer’s disease (AD), frontotemporal dementia (FTD), and other neurocognitive disorders, will bring his scientific and clinical experience to the company.
Dr. Miller is a professor of Neurology at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF), where he directs the Edward and Pearl Fein Memory and Aging Center and founded the Global Brain Health Institute. His career includes clinical care, research, and education in neurodegenerative disease, enhancing the understanding of the brain-behavior relationship, the genetic and molecular foundations of dementia, and precision-medicine approaches for tauopathies and FTD-related conditions.
According to Dr. Paul Y. Song, Chairman and CEO of NKGen Biotech, Dr. Miller’s expertise will inform the company’s clinical and scientific priorities. NKGen is currently conducting a Phase 2 clinical trial evaluating its autologous NK cell therapy candidate, troculeucel, in individuals with moderate Alzheimer’s disease. The company also aims to utilize Dr. Miller’s expertise to explore the use of troculeucel in FTD, where early signals have been promising in patients treated under expanded access.
Dr. Miller has published over 2,000 peer-reviewed articles and authored books such as “The Behavioral Neurology of Dementia and Frontotemporal Dementia.” He has contributed to defining the clinical and biological boundaries between Alzheimer’s disease, FTD, and other neurodegenerative disorders. He has also collaborated with the Tau Consortium and the Bluefield Foundation, supporting the development of therapies for tauopathies and progranulin-mediated FTD.
