Nicoya Life Sciences Launches Revo™ Label-Free Binding Kinetics Platform

January 15, 2026 — Leads & Copy — Nicoya Life Sciences, Inc. has launched Revo™, a label-free binding kinetics platform designed to provide researchers with accessible, gold-standard surface plasmon resonance (SPR) data. The platform combines the precision of SPR with the usability of modern benchtop systems.

According to Nicoya, Revo enables teams to generate publication-quality interaction data without the typical costs, complexity, or specialized expertise associated with SPR.

The four-channel Revo™ system supports measurements in complex media, minimizes maintenance, and offers a space- and cost-efficient alternative to traditional SPR instruments. The company says this allows more teams to make data-driven decisions earlier in drug and vaccine development.

Nicoya will unveil Revo at the PepTalk conference in San Diego from January 19-22, 2026. Attendees will have an opportunity to win a free system at Booth 406.

According to Ryan Denomme, CEO and co-founder of Nicoya, SPR has long delivered insights into biomolecular interactions, but access has been limited to well-resourced labs. He added that label-free systems attempting to make SPR more affordable have often suffered from trade-offs in data quality, sample consumption, automation, and key capabilities. Denomme says that with Revo, scientists can obtain high-quality SPR data for a fraction of the price of comparable instruments.

Revo combines digital microfluidics (DMF) with nanotechnology-based biosensors, housed within a disposable cartridge to eliminate fluidics maintenance. Each cartridge supports up to 18 total interactions, generating up to 90 individual binding curves per assay, the same capacity as a 96-well plate.

Key benefits of the platform, according to Nicoya, include:

– High-quality, reproducible SPR data with minimal hands-on time

– 2 µL sample volume requirements

– Compatibility with crude samples

– Automated sample and buffer handling, including serial dilutions

– Flexible assay configurations, chemistries, and functionalized cartridge options, including carboxyl and streptavidin surfaces

– Compact, benchtop footprint

– Comprehensive software for assay setup and analysis

Revo offers a four- to eight-channel throughput and multiple pricing options.

Nicoya Lifesciences aims to advance biopharmaceutical discovery by providing researchers with accessible biophysical data. The company provides analytical solutions for understanding how complex biologics function and behave. Nicoya serves academic, biotech, and pharmaceutical teams.
