ANN ARBOR, Mich. — August 11, 2025 — Leads & Copy — Kraig Biocraft Laboratories, Inc. (OTCQB: KBLB) has commenced operations at its new production facility, marking the launch of its first full production cycle at the site secured through an agreement with a Southeast Asian government agency. The facility is designed to provide expanded capacity for recombinant spider silk manufacturing as the company scales up. The initial cycle will include rearing parent lines for its BAM-1 spider silk hybrid and new transgenic lines introduced in the first half of 2025, aimed at higher silk yields and improved quality.
Kraig Labs expects this production cycle to lay the groundwork for future expansion and delivery readiness of the highest-grade fibers, as it continues scaling its proprietary silk technology.
According to Founder and CEO of Kraig Labs, Kim Thompson, the collaboration with government agencies creates a platform for sustainable growth and allows the company to expand its operational footprint while maintaining control over spider silk quality and consistency.
