CALGARY, AB — March 4, 2026 — Leads & Copy — High Tide Inc. and its subsidiary, NuLeaf Naturals, have joined the National Compassionate Care Council (NCCC) as founding members, the companies announced today.
High Tide, a retail-forward enterprise in the cannabis sector, and NuLeaf Naturals, its U.S. hemp-derived CBD subsidiary, will collaborate with the NCCC to improve patient access to cannabinoid therapies.
Raj Grover, Founder and CEO of High Tide, stated that the company’s experience in building health-focused brands like NuLeaf Naturals and FAB CBD has provided them with expertise in serving consumers seeking cannabinoid-based wellness products. He added that High Tide and NuLeaf can contribute to the development of federal and state medical cannabis policy and support efforts to improve patient access to cannabinoid therapies across the United States, through its participation in the NCCC.
The NCCC aims to modernize healthcare standards and advance evidence-based policy to improve patient access to cannabinoid therapies. The council includes healthcare-focused organizations within the medicinal cannabis sector that prioritize product quality, research, and patient outcomes.
Other founding members of the NCCC include Feals, Medterra CBD LLC, Tilray Inc., Realm of Caring, Lazarus Naturals, Constance CBD, and Equilibria.
Recent federal initiatives to reschedule cannabis and explore Medicare reimbursement for hemp-derived cannabinoid products indicate a potential shift in U.S. healthcare policy that could significantly impact High Tide’s U.S.-based hemp-derived CBD subsidiaries. High Tide aims to contribute industry expertise while supporting broader efforts to expand patient access to safe and effective cannabinoid therapies.
High Tide Inc. operates the cannabis retail chain Canna Cabana, with 219 locations in Canada. Canna Cabana became the first cannabis discount club retailer in the world in 2021. The company also owns multiple global e-commerce platforms offering accessories and hemp-derived CBD products.
Remexian Pharma GmbH, a subsidiary of High Tide, is a German pharmaceutical company that imports and wholesales medical cannabis products. Remexian is licensed to import from 19 countries, including Canada.
NuLeaf Naturals, founded in 2014, produces cannabinoid products at its cGMP-certified facility. Its products are sold direct-to-consumer and in select stores across the U.S.
