Cardiol Therapeutics Inc. (NASDAQ: CRDL) to Participate in Fireside Chat at Canaccord Genuity’s 46th Annual Growth Conference

TORONTO, Ontario — August 5, 2026 — Leads & Copy — Cardiol Therapeutics Inc. (NASDAQ: CRDL) (TSX: CRDL), a late-stage life sciences company focused on developing anti-inflammatory and anti-fibrotic therapies for heart disease, announced its participation in a Fireside Chat at Canaccord Genuity’s 46th Annual Growth Conference. The event is scheduled to take place on August 11, 2026, at 9:00 a.m. EDT, at the InterContinental Boston Hotel in Boston, MA.

The Fireside Chat will be held in the Griffin/Robinson room. A live webcast of the presentation will be available on the Cardiol website, within the Investors section under “Events & Presentations.”

Cardiol Therapeutics is focused on advancing the development of its lead small-molecule drug candidate, CardiolRx™, which targets inflammasome pathway activation. This intracellular innate immune system response is implicated in the development and progression of inflammation and fibrosis associated with conditions such as pericarditis, myocarditis, and heart failure.

The company’s MAVERIC Program is investigating CardiolRx™ for the treatment of recurrent pericarditis, an inflammatory condition of the pericardium characterized by symptoms like chest pain, shortness of breath, and fatigue. These symptoms can lead to physical limitations, reduced quality of life, and increased hospitalizations. The program includes the completed Phase II MAvERIC-Pilot study and the ongoing pivotal Phase III MAVERIC trial. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has granted Orphan Drug Designation to CardiolRx™ for the treatment of pericarditis, including its recurrent form.

Additionally, the ARCHER Program studied CardiolRx™ for acute myocarditis, a significant cause of heart failure in young adults and a leading cause of sudden cardiac death in individuals under 35. This program involved the completed Phase II ARCHER study, which assessed the safety, tolerability, and efficacy of CardiolRx™ in this patient group.

Cardiol is also developing CRD-38, a novel subcutaneous drug formulation designed for the treatment of inflammatory heart disease, including heart failure. Heart failure is a major cause of death and hospitalization globally, with associated healthcare costs in the United States exceeding $30 billion annually.
