Cantargia Secures US Patent for Nadunolimab Treatment

Lund, SE — August 27, 2025 — Leads & Copy — Cantargia AB (Publ) (Nasdaq Stockholm: CANTA) announced that the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) has granted patent application 17/551,908 for the antibody nadunolimab, under patent number US 12,398,213, valid until 2035. The patent protects the use of Nadunolimab in combination with chemotherapy and/or immunotherapy.

Nadunolimab, owned by Cantargia, is in clinical development for solid and liquid tumors. Cantargia’s lead indication for nadunolimab is pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC) in combination with chemotherapy. In June 2025, the FDA granted Fast Track Designation for metastatic PDAC patients with high IL1RAP expression.

Damian Marron, Interim CEO of Cantargia, stated that the US patent is of high importance for potential future commercialization. Cantargia is progressing its PDAC program with a validated diagnostic method for selecting patients with high IL1RAP levels.

Cantargia has patent protection for IL1RAP-targeting antibodies and their use in cancer therapy and diagnostics, including leukemias and solid tumors, with over 100 patents globally.
