Stanford was previously VP of R&D at IMV Inc, where she oversaw development of the DPX™ vaccine portfolio, studying its mechanism of action, safety, efficacy, and dosing in preclinical models. Her team demonstrated that DPX, cyclophosphamide, and PD-1 blockade enhanced immunogenicity in cancer models. Stanford is named inventor on patents related to the DPX platform and formulations.
Most recently, Stanford was CSO at Mara Renewables Corp., driving commercialization of bio-based omega-3 nutrition products and overseeing scientists across multiple research groups. She also served as Assistant Scientific Director at the Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR), aiding in building Canada’s infectious disease research capacity.
Stanford holds a PhD in Microbiology and Immunology from Dalhousie University, with postdoctoral fellowships in viral immunotherapy and oncology.
