November 11, 2025 — Leads & Copy — Avitia, an AI-powered cancer diagnostics company, has partnered with The Chitrapatima Foundation to introduce advanced liquid biopsy cancer testing in Thailand. The Chitrapatima Foundation, established in 1973, will set up an ecosystem for hospitals and communities to access these tests. This initiative aims to provide Thai people with precise treatment guidance through a blood test, removing financial and geographical barriers to advanced cancer care.
According to Avitia, Thailand’s position as a global healthcare hub will allow over two billion people across Southeast Asia to benefit from improved treatment outcomes with Avitia’s localized testing. Avitia reports that it has already tested over 40,000 patients across Canada, Australia, the United States, and the Middle East.
Executive Director General Dr. Suwicha Tim Chitrapatima said the partnership with Avitia reinforces the foundation’s responsibility to improve the lives of the Thai people by making genetic cancer testing accessible and affordable. He added that integrating the genomic testing platform into Thailand’s national health policy will be the first step under their socialized health care system.
James Lumsdaine, CEO of Avitia, said that Avitia is proud to bring their advanced cancer diagnostics to Thailand in partnership with the Chitrapatima Foundation. He said together, they are establishing the ecosystem to deliver AI-enhanced testing directly to patients across Thailand, creating a model for future public–private partnerships that expand access to precision medicine while strengthening health systems that serve every community.
Avitia delivers advanced NGS-molecular testing solutions directly to laboratories via the company’s AI/ML platform. The company’s modular precision medicine technology equips clinical laboratories with cutting-edge NGS capabilities and network-wide insights, reducing testing time and cost while improving patient outcomes.
The Chitrapatima Foundation, founded in 1973 in Nakhon Si Thammarat Province by General Sant Chitrapatima and Khun Ying Varee Chitrapatima, was created to support military families and strengthen communities across southern Thailand. Under the leadership of General Dr. Suwicha Tim Chitrapatima, the foundation now focuses on expanding access to affordable cancer diagnostics and genetic testing to improve public health equity.
