Artelo Biosciences (Nasdaq:ARTL) Highlights FABP3’s Role in Cancer Progression

SOLANA BEACH, Calif. — November 4, 2025 — Leads & Copy — Artelo Biosciences, Inc. (Nasdaq: ARTL) has announced the publication of a peer-reviewed article in Drug Discovery Today, highlighting the emerging role of Fatty Acid Binding Protein 3 (FABP3) in cancers.

The publication, authored by Dr. George Warren, Principal Scientist at Artelo, is the third in a series exploring the roles of FABP isoforms 3, 5, and 7 in cancer biology. The study underscores growing evidence that FABP3 plays a significant role in cancer progression across multiple tumor types, promoting tumorigenic processes through mechanisms linked to lipid metabolism, hypoxia, and ferroptosis.

Preclinical cancer models have demonstrated therapeutic benefits from both genetic and pharmacological inhibition of FABP3. Artelo Biosciences is expanding its leadership in the FABP inhibitor space, maintaining a portfolio of selective, dual, and pan inhibitors targeting FABP3, FABP5, and FABP7.

Gregory D. Gorgas, President and Chief Executive Officer of Artelo, said the company plans to advance the broader potential of its FABP inhibitor portfolio in other cancers and diseases associated with dysregulated lipid signaling.
