Align Technology, Inc. (NASDAQ: ALGN) has announced the opening of its 2026 Annual Research Award Program, offering up to $300,000 to university faculty for clinical and scientific dental research. The program supports initiatives that advance patient care in orthodontics and dentistry. Align Technology has funded approximately $3.96 million in research since the program began in 2010.
Awards are available in the Americas, EMEA, and APAC regions, with four one-year awards of up to US$25,000 each per region. Eligible applicants include full-time and part-time faculty involved in dental or scientific research at universities where Invisalign® treatment or the iTero™ scanner is available. An independent academic committee reviews all applications, with final selections made by Align.
Align Technology designs and manufactures the Invisalign® System, iTero™ intraoral scanners, and exocad™ CAD/CAM software. Over the past 28 years, Align has helped doctors treat over 21.4 million patients with the Invisalign System.
