Stephen Gray Appointed CEO of Happy Creek Minerals (TSX-V: HPY)
VANCOUVER, British Columbia — November 6, 2025 — Leads & Copy — Happy Creek Minerals Ltd. (TSX-V: HPY) has announced the resignation of Mr. Jason Bahnsen from its board and his role as CEO, effective today.
Mr. Stephen Gray will succeed Mr. Bahnsen, assuming the positions of CEO and Director. Mr. Gray brings extensive technical, operational, and business development experience from previous roles with Rio Tinto Plc, Kinross Gold Corp., and Centerra Gold Inc. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Mining Engineering from Queen’s University and an MBA from Western University.
Mr. Gray expressed enthusiasm about joining Happy Creek, stating he looks forward to building on the work completed by Mr. Bahnsen and the team. He cited strong fundamentals in the tungsten market and a high-quality portfolio led by the Fox project as factors positioning the company well for the future.
The Board of Directors thanked Mr. Bahnsen for his dedication to the company and welcomed Mr. Gray, noting the importance of his arrival during ongoing exploration programs and favorable market sentiment for tungsten.
Happy Creek is focused on making new discoveries and building resources near infrastructure on its 100-percent-owned portfolio of diversified metals projects in British Columbia. These projects include the Fox Tungsten deposit, the Silverboss molybdenum-copper-gold-silver project adjacent to Glencore’s closed Boss Mountain molybdenum mine, and the Hen-Art-DL gold and silver project.
On November 7, 2024, Happy Creek announced the closing of the sale of the Highland Valley Copper Project to Metal Energy Corp. (TSX:V MERG). Happy Creek holds approximately 9.9% of Metal Energy’s issued capital and retains up to a 2.5% Net Smelter Return royalty on the Highland Valley mineral claims.
